Providing the news from a different front but from a war that we must win as well! I recognize the poverty and desperate conditions that many Latinos live in. We, as the USA, have a responsibility to do as much as we can to reach out to aid and assist spiritually with the Gospel and naturally with training, technology and resources. But poverty gives no one the right to break the laws of another sovereign nation.

Border Patrol in Arizona Arrests Multiple Sexual Predators

Three convicted sex offenders arrested within a week

Tucson, Ariz. — Border Patrol agents from the Tucson Sector arrested three illegal aliens that have criminal records with sex offenses. The arrests were made in separate incidents near the towns of Naco and Nogales, Ariz.

On Feb. 1, 2008 at about 2:20 a.m. near Naco, agents assigned to the Naco Border Patrol Station apprehended a 28-year-old Guatemalan national who is a convicted sex offender. Rolando Cruz-Agustin was convicted of “Sexual Assault” in Hall County, Neb. Since he is a convicted felon, Cruz-Agustin is being held in service custody pending formal removal proceedings.

At approximately 2:15 p.m. on February 8, agents assigned to the Nogales Border Patrol Station arrested Enrique Reyes-Alcantara. The 24-year-old Mexican national had a felony conviction in 2005 for “Indecent Liberties with a Child” in Wentworth, N.C. Reyes-Alcantara is also being held in service custody pending prosecution and formal removal proceedings.

Also on February 8 at about 6:20 p.m., agents assigned to the Naco Border Patrol Station arrested Felipe Santamaria-Calixto, a 33-year-old Mexican national who is a convicted sex offender. Santamaria-Calixto was convicted of “Sexual Offense-Against Child-Fondling” in Oklahoma City, Okla. Santamaria-Calixto is being held in service custody pending formal removal proceedings.
