More than 3,200 pounds of marijuana and 104 pounds of cocaine were seized in busts last week by the El Paso sector of Customs and Border Protection.

Customs officials said the drug seizures, which occurred during the past week in 35 busts, were made during routine inspections at area ports of entry and were consistent with normal trends.

Customs officers also stopped 97 people who allegedly violated U.S. immigration laws while attempting to enter the United States.
