We, as the USA, have a responsibility to do as much as we can to reach out to aid and assist spiritually with the Gospel and naturally with training, technology and resources. But poverty gives no one the right to break the laws of another sovereign nation.

Agents: Man, 81, tried to smuggle cocaine

An 81-year-old Arizona man was arrested Tuesday and accused of trying to smuggling $4.5 million worth of cocaine into the United States.

The Nogales man acted suspiciously as he tried to enter the United States at the Dennis DeConcini Port of Entry about 3:30 p.m., said U.S. Customs and Border Protection spokesman Brian Levin. Officials did not release his name.

His vehicle was searched, and agents found 70 packages of cocaine hidden in the car.

Earlier in the day, a Nogales, Son., man was arrested on suspicion of trying to smuggle into the country 10 packages of cocaine worth about $600,000. He was arrested.
