More than a ton of marijuana was found near Casa Grande Tuesday.

According to a release from U.S. Customs and Border Protection, agents patrolling near the Tohono O'odham reservation spotted fresh tracks near the village of Kohatk.

From a Blackhawk helicopter, they spotted a stolen Dodge truck with marijuana in the bed, according to CBP. A man and woman from Mexico were found nearby. A total of 2,400 pounds of marijuana were found in the truck.

The man and woman, whose names were not provided by CBP, were voluntarily returned to Mexico, officials said.
