Many do not understand that Mexico works under a Napoleonic from of government where you are guilty until you prove that you are innocent. If you are accused of a crime, you can go to jail immediately and it may be a long time until you get a court date. There is no such thing as the right to a speedy trial either. You may be able to post bail but most cannot afford it. -mm

Is there something that the general public of Canada can do to help this woman out? I want to do something and I've been looking on-line for an address or a contact but I'm not sure where to start. If anyone knows what we can do, please give me an idea. I can't imagine how hard its been for her and her family. We need to do something.
