Providing the news from a different front but from a war that we must win as well! I recognize the poverty and desperate conditions that many Latinos live in. We, as the USA, have a responsibility to do as much as we can to reach out to aid and assist spiritually with the Gospel and naturally with training, technology and resources. But poverty gives no one the right to break the laws of another sovereign nation.

Frequent Traveler Program Participants Charged with Alien Smuggling Attempts

San Ysidro, Calif. – Two U.S. citizens, 40- and 27-year-old men, both living in Tijuana and both registered participants in the SENTRI frequent traveler program, were arrested last week by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the San Ysidro port of entry found undocumented Mexican citizens hidden in their vehicles.

In the first case, a 40-year-old Juan Noriega was arrested after he entered the port at about 7:30 a.m. March 15 through a designated SENTRI lane driving a 1998 Nissan pickup with a toolbox attached to the bed of the truck. Upon inspection of the vehicle, CBP officers opened the toolbox and discovered a male lying inside.
