Providing the news from a different front but from a war that we must win as well! I recognize the poverty and desperate conditions that many Latinos live in. We, as the USA, have a responsibility to do as much as we can to reach out to aid and assist spiritually with the Gospel and naturally with training, technology and resources. But poverty gives no one the right to break the laws of another sovereign nation.

CBP Seizes $150,000 in Unreported Currency At McAllen Airport

McAllen, Texas – U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers from the Hidalgo Port of Entry assigned to McAllen Miller International Airport seized $150,394 in currency during an outbound examination yesterday.

The currency seizure occurred shortly after 11:30 p.m. March 14 at McAllen Miller International Airport. CBP officers conducting an outbound examination on passengers aboard a Mexico-bound 1995 Beechcraft King Air jet discovered $150,000 in a leather laptop briefcase and $394 in the wallet of a 41-year-old Mexican citizen from Tampico, Tamaulipas. CBP officers seized a total of $150,394 in unreported currency. No arrest was made.

“Our outbound efforts have been tremendous,” said David Higgerson, CBP Port Director, Hidalgo. “Over the last two weeks alone, our officers have seized a total of more than $328,000 in unreported currency.”
