Providing the news from a different front but from a war that we must win as well! I recognize the poverty and desperate conditions that many Latinos live in. We, as the USA, have a responsibility to do as much as we can to reach out to aid and assist spiritually with the Gospel and naturally with training, technology and resources. But poverty gives no one the right to break the laws of another sovereign nation.

Teen shot in the head with laser-sighted gun

JUAREZ -- A 16-year-old boy was fatally shot in the head with a .32-caliber revolver with a laser sight late Friday night in Juárez, investigators said.

Abel Eduardo Rodriguez was helping his uncle put water into a car when his uncle spotted the laser dot and ducked just as shots rang out in the Colonia Insurgentes area.

Police detained four teens, ages 17 to 19, and seized the handgun in connection with the homicide.
