Providing the news from a different front but from a war that we must win as well! I recognize the poverty and desperate conditions that many Latinos live in. We, as the USA, have a responsibility to do as much as we can to reach out to aid and assist spiritually with the Gospel and naturally with training, technology and resources. But poverty gives no one the right to break the laws of another sovereign nation.

Mexican police officer detained on suspicion of links to Arellano Felix drug cartel

TIJUANA, Mexico – A municipal police officer in northern Mexico was arrested for alleged links with one of the country's most violent drug organizations, authorities said Monday.

Rodrigo Escobar, an officer for the city of Tecate, was detained for allegedly belonging to the Tijuana-based Arellano Felix drug organization, “as well as participating in various kidnappings and killings,” the federal Attorney General's Office said in a news release.
