Providing the news from a different front but from a war that we must win as well! I recognize the poverty and desperate conditions that many Latinos live in. We, as the USA, have a responsibility to do as much as we can to reach out to aid and assist spiritually with the Gospel and naturally with training, technology and resources. DE QUEEN, Ark.—Juan Mosqueva, 36, of De Queen pleaded innocent Thursday in Sevier County Circuit Court to second-degree sexual assault charges in the case of a 15-year-old female.

The De Queen police received a telephone call about a possible rape and went to the residence of Mosqueva Jan. 4. Officers asked him to come with them to the police department for an interview. Mosqueva was read a Miranda warning in Spanish and agreed to answer questions.

He was questioned by officer Ernesto Echevarria and Lt. Sean Martin and admitted to having sex with the 15-year-old female. He was then taken to the Sevier County jail.

Mosqueva is a Mexican national, and the Immigration and Naturalization Service has been contacted for further investigation, said De Queen Police Chief Richard McKinley.

You have to understand that men between the ages of 25 and 50 are routinely having sexual relations with 14 15 and 16 year old girls to whom they are not married. It is an acceptable part of their society. Forcible rape is not but statutory rape is. -mm
