SAN LUIS, Ariz. — A failed pot smuggling attempt turned into a bomb threat that forced the evacuation of a block in a residential neighborhood here for two hours Wednesday morning.

Authorities found 1,700 pounds of marijuana inside a Ford Expedition and took into custody the alleged driver of the vehicle. But moments after the arrest, someone called San Luis police dispatchers and told them there was a bomb inside the Expedition. Police don't know who made the call, said police spokesman Ernesto Lugo.

Though one suspect was arrested, "there was obviously somebody else that knew about it," Lugo said, referring to the anonymous caller.
