Seven suspected smugglers arrested in rival's death

THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

PHOENIX — Seven people believed to be immigrant smugglers were arrested in the investigation of another suspected human trafficker whose body was set afire in an alley in south Phoenix.

Police say the victim, Aroldo Virsabi-Robles Gonzalez, 26, was one of two entrant smugglers who were kidnapped by rival smugglers eight days ago in Mesa and held for ransom.

The second victim was found Thursday in the closet of a south Phoenix home where police located the seven suspects.
