Providing the news from a different front but from a war that we must win as well! I recognize the poverty and desperate conditions that many Latinos live in. We, as the USA, have a responsibility to do as much as we can to reach out to aid and assist spiritually with the Gospel and naturally with training, technology and resources. Border Patrol in Texas Arrests Colombian Murder Suspect

Monday, April 07, 2008

Del Rio, Texas — U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Del Rio Sector, arrested an individual with an outstanding warrant of arrest for murder charges in New York City.

The arrest occurred Friday, when agents from the Carrizo Springs station were conducting line watch operations and tracking what appeared to be a group of undocumented aliens leading away from the Rio Grande River. The agents apprehended the group of undocumented aliens who all claimed to be Mexican nationals.

During processing, the subject’s fingerprints were submitted into the Integrated Automated Fingerprint Identification System (IAFIS), where it was revealed that the subject had an extensive criminal history and that he was in fact a Colombian national and not a Mexican national as he had previously claimed. Record checks indicated the subject, a 34-year-old citizen from Colombia, had an outstanding warrant of arrest for one count of murder and one count of attempted murder in Queens, N.Y.
