News From the Border

Providing the news from a different front but from a war that we must win as well! I recognize the poverty and desperate conditions that many Latinos live in. We, as the USA, have a responsibility to do as much as we can to reach out to aid and assist spiritually with the Gospel and naturally with training, technology and resources. But poverty gives no one the right to break the laws of another sovereign nation.

Napolitano welcomes expansion of crossing station

Gov. Janet Napolitano is celebrating the expansion of one of Arizona's commercial border crossing points but says another also needs expansion.

Napolitano will visit San Luis near Yuma in southwestern Arizona on Friday for the groundbreaking of an expansion project for the border port of entry there.

But Napolitano says she was disappointed that President Bush's proposed federal budget doesn't request money to expand the Mariposa truck crossing point of entry at Nogales.
