Providing the news from a different front but from a war that we must win as well! I recognize the poverty and desperate conditions that many Latinos live in. We, as the USA, have a responsibility to do as much as we can to reach out to aid and assist spiritually with the Gospel and naturally with training, technology and resources. But poverty gives no one the right to break the laws of another sovereign nation.

2 Juárez officers shot dead as violence continues

Two Juárez police officers were shot to death inside a car Tuesday morning, making it 10 homicides in the first five days of February, Juárez police said.

Luis Alfonso Rivera Villa, 35, was a commander with the state of Chihuahua's preventive and intelligence gathering police with 3 1/2 years of service. Jesus Manuel Garcia Rodriguez, 25, was an investigative agent for the same agency, known as Cipol.

Their bodies, along with 87 bullet casings, were found on Simona Barba and Bosques de Aldama streets.
