Providing the news from a different front but from a war that we must win as well! I recognize the poverty and desperate conditions that many Latinos live in. We, as the USA, have a responsibility to do as much as we can to reach out to aid and assist spiritually with the Gospel and naturally with training, technology and resources. But poverty gives no one the right to break the laws of another sovereign nation.

President Bush rejects amnesty for illegal immigrants

President George W. Bush spoke this morning about his desire for comprehensive immigration reform. Speaking at that the Yuma sector Border Patrol headquarters, he called for a combination of enforcement on the border and well as changes in U.S. immigration policies. The president said amnesty was not acceptable and those who are currently here illegally would have to pay a price for breaking the law.
