News From the Border

Providing the news from a different front but from a war that we must win as well! I recognize the poverty and desperate conditions that many Latinos live in. We, as the USA, have a responsibility to do as much as we can to reach out to aid and assist spiritually with the Gospel and naturally with training, technology and resources. But poverty gives no one the right to break the laws of another sovereign nation.

President surveys border area on way to make speech

President George W. Bush has made three stops in Yuma on his way to a give a speech on immigration reform. After landing in Yuma this morning, Bush first visited the National Guard members stationed along the U.S. and Mexico border in the Yuma sector. Bush then watched a demonstration of a machine used to build fence posts for a secondary fence along the border and he viewed much of the structural progress made in San Luis, Ariz., due to Operation Jump Start.
