Providing the news from a different front but from a war that we must win as well! I recognize the poverty and desperate conditions that many Latinos live in. We, as the USA, have a responsibility to do as much as we can to reach out to aid and assist spiritually with the Gospel and naturally with training, technology and resources. But poverty gives no one the right to break the laws of another sovereign nation.

Wellton Border Patrol Agents Foil Pot Smugglers

Four Illegal Aliens, Two U.S. Citizens Arrested, 191 Pounds of Marijuana Seized

Yuma, Ariz. — U.S. Customs and Border Protection Border Patrol agents of the Yuma Sector’s Wellton station foiled a marijuana-smuggling attempt just after midnight today near Interstate 8 and mile marker 91.

The agents were alerted to a group of seven individuals carrying large bundles toward the interstate. As the agents approached, the subjects dropped the bundles and ran in different directions. The agents pursued, but were only able to arrest four who were Mexican nationals illegally in the U.S. Agents seized a total of 191 pounds of marijuana worth an estimated $153,000.
