Providing the news from a different front but from a war that we must win as well! I recognize the poverty and desperate conditions that many Latinos live in. We, as the USA, have a responsibility to do as much as we can to reach out to aid and assist spiritually with the Gospel and naturally with training, technology and resources. HOUSTON - A Texas jury Monday convicted a truck driver involved in America's deadliest attempt to smuggle undocumented immigrants. Now the panel will decide whether Tyrone Williams should die or get life in prison.

The punishment phase of the case starts immediately, now that Williams has been found guilty on 58 counts.

Nineteen of the more than 70 people stuffed into his sweltering tractor-trailer died. They were suffocated and dehydrated during a smuggling attempt from South Texas to Houston.

Prosecutors successfully argued Williams was responsible for the deaths because he didn't free his passengers or turn on the air conditioner. He eventually abandoned the rig about 100 miles from Houston.
