Providing the news from a different front but from a war that we must win as well! I recognize the poverty and desperate conditions that many Latinos live in. We, as the USA, have a responsibility to do as much as we can to reach out to aid and assist spiritually with the Gospel and naturally with training, technology and resources. But poverty gives no one the right to break the laws of another sovereign nation.

Know Before You Travel Internationally This Holiday Season

Customs and Border Protection Launches Traveler Awareness Campaign

Washington, D.C. — U.S. Customs and Border Protection today launched the “Know Before You Go, Get Your Passport” campaign aimed at preparing American citizens for upcoming changes to travel document requirements, also known as the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative. CBP processed over 422 million arriving individuals last year, including over 87 million international air arrivals.

“During this busy holiday season, we want your entry into the United States to be smooth and efficient,” said CBP Commission W. Ralph Basham. “We take our role in facilitating legitimate trade and travel very seriously and we want to make sure travelers have all the resources and information necessary to make their traveling experience a positive one.”

Commissioner Basham made special reference to the “Top 10 Traveler Tips” and the “Questions” section available at CBP’s Web site.
