Providing the news from a different front but from a war that we must win as well! I recognize the poverty and desperate conditions that many Latinos live in. We, as the USA, have a responsibility to do as much as we can to reach out to aid and assist spiritually with the Gospel and naturally with training, technology and resources. But poverty gives no one the right to break the laws of another sovereign nation.

President Bush in Yuma

President George W. Bush arrived at Yuma International Airport aboard Air Force One shortly after 10 this morning.

His visit to Yuma has brought out local and state dignitaries to greet him.

Waiting at Yuma International Airport for the president this morning were Gov. Janet Napolitano, Yuma Mayor Larry Nelson and San Luis, Ariz., Mayor Nieves Riedel, among others. The commander of the Marine Corps Air Station, Col. Ben Hancock, also waited to receive Bush.

Security was reported as heavy at the airport in advance of Bush's arrival.

Bush is coming to Yuma to see the problem of illegal immigration first-hand. He is scheduled to tour the border, visit the Border Patrol's Yuma Sector headquarters and meet local officials. He will also make remarks at a press briefing.
