Providing the news from a different front but from a war that we must win as well! I recognize the poverty and desperate conditions that many Latinos live in. We, as the USA, have a responsibility to do as much as we can to reach out to aid and assist spiritually with the Gospel and naturally with training, technology and resources. But poverty gives no one the right to break the laws of another sovereign nation.

Deported child molester re-arrested

CALEXICO — Federal charges are pending against a convicted child molester who had been deported to Mexico and was caught by Border Patrol agents Tuesday as he scaled the border fence into the U.S.

Agents saw the 41-year-old man climb the fence and run into a residential area near the downtown Port of Entry, a Border Patrol press release states.

The man, whose identity was not provided, is from Michoacan, Mexico. He was arrested in San Fernando in 1998 for raping a minor, the press release states.

The man was convicted and sentenced to six years in prison. Upon completing his sentence he was deported to Mexico, the press release states.
