Facing racketeering charges, six alleged members of the Barrio Azteca gang are expected to go before a federal magistrate again today.

The men were arrested last week as part of an ongoing FBI investigation into the largest gang in El Paso. They are jailed without bond.

Arraignment and bond hearings are scheduled this afternoon in federal court for alleged gang lieutenant Eugene "Gino" Mona, 50; alleged sergeant Jose Martin "Spider" Garcia, 38; alleged sergeant Said Francisco "Shorty" Herrera, 28; alleged soldier Johnny "Co nejo" Michelletti, 37; and Danny Tarin, 28, allegedly an associate of the gang.

They were arrested Thursday by federal agents and El Paso police.
