PHOENIX - A woman was arrested on an assault charge Saturday at an immigration protest in front of a Phoenix furniture store that has become a weekly fixture.

Phoenix police spokesman Sgt. Andy Hill says the woman approached another woman and pulled on a microphone cord she was holding, then pushed her in the chest.

The woman who was assaulted was Michelle Dallacroce, the president of Mothers Against Illegal Aliens. Authorities said Dallacroce, 41, was not injured.

The Saturday protests in front of the Pruitt's store in east Phoenix have led to numerous arrests in recent months.
