Border Patrol in Brownsville Seizes More Than 1,200 Pounds of Marijuana
The seizure occurred when agents assigned to the Brownsville Border Patrol station responded to suspicious activity near the
Nearby agents tried to perform a vehicle stop, but the driver did not cooperate and turned the vehicle around and went back toward the river. The driver absconded into
the vehicle. Inside the vehicle, agents found 16 bundles of marijuana weighing 1,245.5 pounds with a total value of $996,400.
Border Patrol seized the vehicle and the marijuana was turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
