Providing the news from a different front but from a war that we must win as well! I recognize the poverty and desperate conditions that many Latinos live in. We, as the USA, have a responsibility to do as much as we can to reach out to aid and assist spiritually with the Gospel and naturally with training, technology and resources. But poverty gives no one the right to break the laws of another sovereign nation.

Mexican man gets 10 years after marijuana seizure

TUCSON - A Mexican man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison after he was caught in a van with more than 1½ tons of marijuana, authorities said.

Jorge Antonio Burruel Bojorquez, 33, of Caborca, Sonora, pleaded guilty on May 17 to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute marijuana.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents arrested Burruel Bojorquez on June 15, 2005, after a suspected stash house was put under surveillance.
