Man shot in Tijuana drives to the border

SAN YSIDRO: A U.S. citizen who said he was shot and wounded during a robbery in Tijuana drove to the International Border crossing at San Ysidro early yesterday and then was transported by paramedics to an area hospital.The man was able to drive to the inspection checkpoint about 2 a.m. despite bleeding from a bullet wound to the upper body. The injury was not believed to be life-threatening. He told San Diego police that he was wounded during a home invasion robbery in Tijuana near his residence.
