ARIZONA DAILY STAR

Owners and managers of a bus company who admitted smuggling more than 42,000 illegal border crossers from Tucson to Los Angeles have been sentenced in Tucson, an official said Friday.

Gustavo Arellano-Ibarra, 36, of Phoenix, a terminal manager, was sentenced to four years, five months and nine days in prison, said a news release from the U.S. Attorney's Office.

Arellano-Ibarra admitted that during his employment with Golden State Transportation Company from 1998 to 2001, he harbored and transported hundreds of illegal entrants using the company's facilities.
