News From the Border

Providing the news from a different front but from a war that we must win as well! I recognize the poverty and desperate conditions that many Latinos live in. We, as the USA, have a responsibility to do as much as we can to reach out to aid and assist spiritually with the Gospel and naturally with training, technology and resources. But poverty gives no one the right to break the laws of another sovereign nation.

Mexico Threatens Suits Over Guard Patrols

NUEVO LAREDO, Mexico (AP) -- A U.S.-Mexico border that's impossible to sneak across could spark crisis in Mexico and Central America, where many impoverished communities depend on the millions of dollars undocumented migrants send home to their loved ones.

But, analysts and those slipping into American territory say, there's no way authorities can seal the border, despite U.S. President George W. Bush's plan to deploy 6,000 National Guard troops to help stem the tide of illegal immigrants heading north.
