Providing the news from a different front but from a war that we must win as well! I recognize the poverty and desperate conditions that many Latinos live in. We, as the USA, have a responsibility to do as much as we can to reach out to aid and assist spiritually with the Gospel and naturally with training, technology and resources. But poverty gives no one the right to break the laws of another sovereign nation.

Agents make cocaine bust in San Luis

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the U.S. Port of Entry at San Luis, Ariz., Monday made their fourth largest cocaine seizure since Oct. 15.

At about 9 a.m. agents found half a million dollars worth of cocaine hidden inside a 1999 Chevrolet "Chevy," which is a small car made in Mexico, according to CBP public affairs officer Brian Levin.

The vehicle was driven by a 37-year-old woman from Mexicali, according to a CBP release. The 60 pounds of cocaine were inside a hidden compartment near the engine.

Man charged with 14 felonies in gun case

A man was formally charged with 14 felonies Tuesday for almost $20,000 in alleged straw gun purchases made in Yuma.

The complaint alleges that Garate purchased four assault rifles and 13 semi-automatic handguns from Sprague's Sports, 345 W. 32nd St., to be given to people not allowed to possess firearms. Court records say the purchases were made between Sept. 22 and Thursday with the knowledge that they would be exported to Mexico, and that Garate was paid $100 for each firearm he bought.

Tancredo: 51 Terrorist Suspects Crossed Border Illegally

The figures, part of a Department of Homeland Security response to a inquiry by the Congressman, document the national security risk our porous borders pose on the eve of Congress’ first attempt to rewrite immigration law in nearly a decade.

National Policy Institute Calls for Mass Deportation of Illegals

(McLean, VA) The National Policy Institute, a McLean, Virginia think tank, has called for the deportation of illegals in the U.S. A recently issued NPI paper has crunched the numbers and the Institute concludes that deporting illegal aliens would save Americans billions in annual taxes as well as increase the average income of native-born U.S. workers.

ICE Arrests Several Child Sex Predators In Metro Region

Arrests Part Of Nationwide Initiative

Over the past three days, agents with the Department of Homeland Security's U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) have arrested eight sex offenders in Washington, D.C. and Virginia.

The arrests are part of Operation Predator, a nationwide ICE initiative to protect children from criminal alien sex offenders, child sex tourists, Internet child pornographers, human traffickers, and other predatory criminals.

All of the people arrested during the sting operation are foreign nationals who have previously been convicted of sex crimes against children.

The arrested criminal aliens are citizens or nationals of El Salvador, Honduras, and Mexico.
